Join Ari Shapiro, Award-winning journalist and weekday co-host of NPR’s All Things Considered, as he moderates a not-to-be-missed event. Clifton Truman Daniel, grandson of Harry S. Truman and author of Growing Up With My Grandfather: Memories of Harry S. Truman; Mary Jean Eisenhower, granddaughter of Dwight D. Eisenhower and chairman emeritus of People to People International; and Scott Roosevelt, great grandson of Franklin D. Roosevelt and Assistant Principal Director of Milwaukee Academy of the Arts, Milwaukee, Oregon will share little-known stories about growing up with three of America’s most well-known Presidents. They will also reflect on the legacies their grandfathers left for them – and for the world.
This program is part of the Donald and Sue Pritzker Voices of Conscience Lecture Series, dedicated to the memory of Sue and Donald Pritzker, whose legacy of human decency and intregrity continues in the promotio of civil and human rights. Its purpose is to educate the public and serve as a catalyst for intergroup dialogue about the Holocaust, genocide, and human rights issues.
