Selected date

Thursday August 8

Selected time

6:30 PM  –  8:00 PM

The Purchased Lives exhibition illuminates the many ways that slavery was a pervasive part of American life, enslaving individuals and families across the country, impacting generations to come.  As the exhibition comes to a close, we converse about the legacy of slavery and its manifestations in today's world.  Through professional experience and personal testimony, our panel will discuss implications of this enforcement and our criminal justice systems, including issues of mass incarceration, community disinvestment, poverty and trauma.

Free with Museum admission, reservations required.
