Lunch & Learn: How a Montana Mom Became a Leader in Fighting Antisemitism

February 4, 12:00 PM Central Time

The Daily Stormer, which took its name from Nazi propaganda tabloid Der Stürmer, encouraged their followers to “take action” after Jewish real estate agent Tanya Gersh agreed to sell property belonging to white nationalist Richard Spencer’s mother. When Spencer learned his mother was working with a Jewish agent, he “took action” with ongoing threats and invasions of her privacy, taking an emotional, physical, social, financial and professional toll on Tanya and her family.

But Tanya fought back. The Southern Poverty Law Center filed suit in federal court on her behalf and won a more than $14 million judgment against the neo-Nazi leader. Her courage and strength to not let hate win, and to assure this never happens again, is a message she has become passionate about sharing. The lawsuit may be over, but her work has just begun. We invite you to join our lunch & learn session to hear Tanya’s story – and her message – in her own words.
