Join award-winning researcher, educator, playwright, and journalist Mike Levy for an exploration of the mostly forgotten role of Kindertransport rescuers and the quickly established landscapes of care in host countries.
Levy’s presentation covers the rescue of 10,000 mainly Jewish children from Nazi-controlled territory was carried out, dives deeper into the mechanics of the rescue and its relationship to governmental policies, and details how a large-scale voluntary effort to care for displaced children was created and sustained.
