Jewish Genealogy: Old Myths and New Science (DNA)

 February 10 – 6:30 – 7:30pm CT

The Heritage Committee at Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center invites decedents of Holocaust Survivors to this special presentation on Jewish Genealogy.  Jewish Genealogy is an evolving pursuit to discover who we are and where we came from. A common misconception is that Jewish Genealogy is an impossible task.  This presentation will dispel those myths so that you can pursue your family's history.  The presentation includes the innovative science of DNA testing which brings a new light to finding relatives and will also include information on Holocaust research.   This presentation will be presented by Mike Karsen, member of the Association of Professional Genealogists (APG), the Genealogical Speakers Guild (GSG), and is Past President of the Jewish Genealogical Society of Illinois.
