Whether it’s violence in your community or a war across the globe, we are confronted with hatred, prejudice, and indifference everyday. From the Holocaust to school shootings, experts will share with you how to have meaningful, age appropriate, and emotional responsive conversations with your kids.

Nora Flanagan is a Chicago Public Schools teacher, a member of the Illinois Holocaust and Genocide Commission, and co-author of Confronting White Nationalism in Schools.

Keisha Rembert is an Assistant Professor of Teacher Preparation at National Louis University, a former Illinois History Teacher of the Year, and a member of the Illinois Holocaust and Genocide Commission.

This talk will be moderated by: Amanda Friedeman, Assistant Director of Education, Illinois Holocaust Museum.
