During 1939, intense debate raged in Congress about legislation that would have allowed 20,000 refugee children into the United States outside of America’s restrictive immigration quotas. Join us for a though-provoking conversation as we explore the history and controversy of the bill, public opinion at the time, and the legacy of immigration and refugee policies.
